today i did something i've wanted to do for a long time -
bake cinnamon rolls from scratch.
last fall my sweet honey man gave me
the cookbook vegan brunch by isa chandra moskowitz.
this week i am getting reacquainted with my home life after being gone
for almost 6 weeks, and i dove into this cookbook.
her recipe for cinnamon rolls is straightforward,
and made it relatively easy and downright painless to get these going.
the yeast foamed, the dough rose, it rolled out easily.
it made 12, we've already eaten 9.
who wants the last three?
They look delicious. I always worry that making them from scratch will be too hard. It wasn't bad?
ReplyDeleteIt really wasn't. The time consuming part is waiting for the dough to rise.
ReplyDeleteThey do look good! I love making cinnamon rolls from scratch, even if they take a while. It impresses everyone.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture and on such a perfect plate!
ReplyDeleteI get hungry every time I look at this. Ok. I'll stop looking.
ReplyDeleteWow, your cinnamon rolls look amazing! I've looked at that recipe many times, but then hesitated because it sounded so complicated. Plus, I knew I couldn't trust myself with fresh, hot cinnamon rolls. It seemed like a safer bet to just go buy one already made at the co-op, share it with my husband, and be done with it. But your pictures have me seriously doubting that choice...
